Solo Instrumentalist vs. Live Band: Which Format Fits?
The best live music format is not necessarily the largest one. It is the one that meets the event’s purpose, physical setting and programme rhythm.
Choose a solo instrumentalist when subtlety matters
A soloist can fit guest arrival, dining, ceremonies and small settings with limited stage space. This format works when music is part of the atmosphere rather than the programme centrepiece.
Choose a band when performance is the event moment
A band has a larger visual and sonic presence. It may suit a sangeet, reception, concert, corporate party or a programme that needs a featured live set.
Review the practical difference
More performers can mean more backline, stage space, microphones, monitoring, changeover time and production planning. Build those requirements into the venue and schedule review.
